Notice to All Worshippers and Visitors

St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church, Florida, regularly livestreams Sunday services and captures photos or videos at events for our website, social media, newsletters, and archives.

These platforms help us share the Good News and the life of our parish with the wider community.We are committed to balancing this outreach with the rights and dignity of all individuals.

When and Where We Record

Sunday 9AM Eucharist Services are livestreamed on our official Facebook and YouTube pages.

Photographs and video may be taken at baptisms, confirmations, community events, youth programmes, and outreach projects.

Content may be used for church promotion, ministry updates, fundraising, or historical records.

Your Consent Matters

By entering the church or participating in events, you consent to your image being captured unless you notify us otherwise.

If you prefer not to appear in photos or on video, please do the following:
1. Notify the Church Office in advance or speak to a Verger or Sidesperson on duty.
2. Send a clear image of yourself to the office, so we can identify and blur you out during editing or cropping.

We will store it securely and use it only to identify you for image redaction purposes.

Legal Compliance (South African Law)

St. Gabriel’s complies with:

1. The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) – Respecting your privacy rights and requiring informed consent for public sharing of personal data, including images.

2. The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act – Governing the publishing of digital content.We do not sell, trade, or misuse any personal data or images.

Canonical & Safe Church Responsibility

As part of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we follow the Safe Church Charter and the principles of pastoral care, safety, and respect.

Safe Church Commitments:
1. Protecting children, youth, and vulnerable adults from harm.
2. Upholding boundaries and dignity in all ministry and media.Seeking explicit parental or guardian consent before posting images of minors.
3. Providing opt-out options without shame or pressure.

Fellowship & Hospitality Ministry

Creating a welcoming and warm church environment is essential. This ministry ensures that everyone who walks through our doors feels at home.

> Assist with hospitality & catering for church events
> Organize social gatherings & fellowship activities
> Help with church decorations & special occasions
> Tea After Eucharist Services: A time of fellowship and connection over tea after select Sunday services.
